Sightseeing Tours in London

You might think it’s weird that an island as small as Britain ruled a large portion of the globe, but if you spend any time in London, you’ll start to see why. The relics of the Victorian era and prior centuries all speak to Britain’s imperial glory, and London is chock full of monuments, squares and other landmarks of historic import. If you want to see the bulk of them, you should really book a London sightseeing tour.

These London tours range from discount passes to hop-on-hop-off bus tours (those famous, red, double-decker buses), and all of them get you in front of a lot of the most popular London attractions and significant sights. For new visitors, I recommend a full-day sightseeing tour. You’ll get an in-depth tour of the Tower of London, the changing of the guard, Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral and even cruise the River Thames. These sort of tours are good if you only have a few days to see the city, or if you’re traveling on business and have a day off.

Of course, there’s plenty to see outside of London. Part of England’s heritage is found in its medieval legacy, and if you go to England without seeing a single castle, well, you and I are obviously not on the same itinerary. What can I say? I like castles. And Stonehenge, for that matter. Luckily for me, there’s a tour that takes you to Stonehenge, Windsor Castle and Bath. You’ll see ruins from the distant past, as well as get a taste of the famed English countryside. On a short trip, I’d probably go with the city tours, but if you’re in London for more than a few days, a sightseeing day trip outside the city is well worth it.
